The Director Model M4840 is unique in the matrix amplifier world. Four digital inputs, each featuring Coaxial and TOSLINK signal presence detection Coaxial and TOSLINK digital connectors and paired with identical loop outputs are joined by four stereo analog inputs with loop outputs. Combined with eight high-powered, DSP-processed channels, the Director Model M4840 amplified audio matrix is remarkably shallow in depth, at a mere 11.75”, yet still delivers 100 impressive watts per channel into 8 ohm and a stable 200W into 4 ohm. Channel volume, loudspeaker equalization and delay times, crossover points, and built-in speaker profiles are all controllable via network commands.
